For Family

DBSA/St. Louis Empowerment Center offers a peer-based support group for people with a loved one that is living with a substance use disorder.

This peer-based family and support person focused group looks at building healthy relationships in recovery. We will cover education topics about the nature of addiction, share personal recovery stories, strengths, and hope. We will provide a nurturing environment for mutual support.

Often, when a loved one is living with a substance use disorder, people feel powerless to help them. This group will empower and encourage skills that will create a better understanding of the nature of the disease of addiction, and the nature of recovery.

The family support group, Building Healthy Relationships in Recovery, will be offered virtually twice monthly on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Beginning in 2023, it will be offered weekly on Wednesday over Zoom. Please see the flyer and Zoom link below.
