Opening Doors to Recovery...Every Day

What we offer...

Self-Help Groups

At the St. Louis Empowerment Center, we host daily self-help groups right here on-site. These groups cover a range of topics, including:

  • Substance Use Disorder/Opioid Use Disorder (SUD/OUD)

  • Co-occurring Disorders

  • Wellness

  • Recovery

Classes

We offer a variety of on-site classes at the Center,
free of charge. Our class offerings include:

  • GED classes (as needed)

  • Anger Management

  • Art

Peer Specialists

Our team includes Certified Missouri Peer Specialists who are here to support and assist participants on their journey. Additionally, we provide the guidance of a Certified Wellness Coach to help individuals achieve their wellness goals.

Employment Program

Our employment program supports participants in their job search and career endeavors. Our center offers a full-time Employment Specialist who, as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), guides peers towards transformative life changes and reaching their full potential.

Benefits Assistance

Our staff collaborates with participants to navigate social welfare benefits for individuals with mental illness and their families. This includes SSDI, SSI, food stamps, vocational rehab, public health treatments, day treatment services, housing, and more.

Empowering Self-Advocacy

Our participants often face challenges in accessing mental health resources. We empower them to self-advocate, even in the face of illness, medication side effects, and societal marginalization. Our staff will intervene with agencies, accompany participants to appointments, and provide support throughout the process.

Guidance for Goals

A Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) funded program that offers Peer Case Management to eligible participants.
